An argument between Elon Musk and Bill Gates has resurfaced after Gates called out Musk for donating less to climate change than himself.
The remark was made by Gates during an interview with French journalist Hugo Decrypte. During the interview, Gates responded to comments made by Musk in the past about how he does not actively contribute to combat climate change.
“TESLA’s done a fantastic job; I give a lot more money to climate change than Elon Musk or anyone else. [Elon’s] done a great job, but somebody shorting the stock doesn’t slow him down or hurt him in any way.”
The clip from the interview was later shared on Twitter by TESLA shareholder, Sawyer Meritt, who said, ‘Ya … Ok’ while tagging Musk, who responded by writing ‘Sigh’.
NEWS: Bill Gates on Elon Musk & Tesla in new interview:
“Tesla’s done a fantastic job; I give a lot more money to climate change than @elonmusk or anyone else; He’s (Elon) done a great job, but somebody shorting the stock doesn’t slow him down or hurt him in any way.”

The argument between the two billionaires was sparked in late April after texts they had exchanged were leaked to The New York Times and circulated on Twitter in which Gates was asking Musk to collaborate with him in an effort to combat climate change.
Yeah, but I didn’t leak it to NYT. They must have got it through friends of friends.
I heard from multiple people at TED that Gates still had half billion short against Tesla, which is why I asked him, so it’s not exactly top secret.

But Musk was unwilling to work with Gates since the latter was later accused of shorting TESLA stocks.
Musk had said in his text message:
“Sorry, but I cannot take your philanthropy on climate change seriously when you have a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change.”
